Alissa knew this skeleton was always in a market near where she lives and she managed to get a shot of it just before closing time. From St Petersburg, Russia, she was given the name Christie when she was christened when she was about 11 years old. She has lived in London for 20 years.

Alissa was helped by Crisis. “Crisis is amazing because they can really change your life for the better. You can have a change for the better if you allow people into your life – if you’re willing to change.”

“You can have a home but you can still feel lonely even if you are in your own home. You can still feel alone in your own home even if you have family around you. If you’re not welcomed there then you will feel isolated and then you feel homeless.”
