Somalenny took this shot of fellow Crisis member and MyLondon photographer Eva while she was doing a photo shoot with a professional photographer. Eva came to London “Following my dreams” from Lithuania

last year but was tricked into working for people smugglers. She escaped and was helped by Crisis. “I was sleeping on the streets. They showed me the different things that I can really follow my dreams because there is a real possibility. So I found the door opened. Now I see my dreams coming true finally – ha!” Eva is now

applying for modelling jobs.

Somalenny says his hobby is electronic music and he is a member of Crisis. “Homelessness is not an easy one to get yourself out of. Landlords don’t take you in and if they do they are rather unscrupulous and they charge you as much as they can,” adding that it is much cheaper for someone to pay a mortgage than pay

rent alone or to stay in a shelter or hostel or a bedsit. “If I was in work I could get something much nicer for less money.”
