The London RPS/Cafe Art Mentoring Group is hosting an exhibition showcasing photographic work taken in 2023 by those who have been affected by homelessness.

Dates: 8 - 23 January

Location: Putney Library, 5-7 Disraeli Road, London SW15 2 DR

Closest stations: Putney (trains from Waterloo) and East Putney (District line). Both are Zone 2/3.

Please join us at the official opening on Thursday 11 January 6pm to 7.30pm

Participants from the group meet up twice a month to improve their photographic skills with the help or mentors from the Royal Photographic Society. A selection of the photos taken are reviewed by the group and some are chosen to be added to their portfolios. It is from these portfolios that the group has chosen a selection for this exhibition.

The objective of the RPS/Cafe Art group is to help the well being and confidence of those who have been affected by homelessness through photography and this exhibition plays an important part in enabling this.

The participants, who may have been a member of the group for several years, or just a few months, all have their own stories of being homeless and we hope that this exhibition shows, not only some of the photographic techniques learnt but some of their personality as well.

The 14 exhibitors in this exhibition are, Aia Kalnina, Carol Dawson, McGinlay, Patrizia Rozzi, Damien, Saffron Saidi, Dee Allison, Emane Filali, Viviane Boulay, Lui Saatchi, Maurice Woolger, Shenan Chandler and Wayne Chin.

Exhibition opens on Monday 8 January in Putney Library, 5-7 Disraeli Road, London SW15 2DR.
