Café Art's first exchange was in 2013 with an art group in New York called fresh art.

 

We sent over 12 paintings in a cardboard tube and they sent us some paintings from their artists. We framed each others exhibitions and hung them and had openings. It was a huge success.

The following years involved adding many more cities to our network, including Berlin, Melbourne, Auckland, dar es Salaam, and Mumbai.

Covid-19 has meant we have had to take a break from our exchange but we are keen to resume it as soon as it is safe to do so.
