In 2025 we were happy to have a few successes we would like to share with you:

1. The RPS-run photography mentoring group, which uses cameras part-funded by our charity, went from strength to strength. The group meets up regularly all over London and mentors teach digital photography. The year started with their annual exhibition in Brixton Library. The 2026 exhibition will open in early January!

2. In February we found out that our documentary Unseen City by Tom Sweetland was a finalist in the Smiley Documentary Film Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted!

3. In March we were honoured to receive the Amateur Photographer Magazine Hero of Photography 2025 Award. The glass trophy was awarded to Paul Ryan from Cafe Art/MYWORLD at a black-tie event at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. We were later honoured to have Nigel Atherton join the MYLONDON selection panel in May along side David Hicks from the RPS.

5. MYLONDON produced four 2026 calendar designs with two sets of stunning photos! The project awarded almost £3,000 in prize money (funded from calendar sales). We also pay commissions and vendor payments to over 100 photographers and vendors. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT in buying the calendars and cards online which helps this.

6. With Earl Kendrick we launched the inaugural LONDON UNSEEN project. The exhibition, held in The Building Centre in October, was the first to use floor to ceiling video projections featuring interviews by the photographers. Above is a photographer taking a shot of a building that has meaning for him - the project focused on the stories of homelessness and how the participants coped with it.
7.

In November we decided to take our moto "Photos from the street" literally for our Christmas cards. On the 12th of that month the lights were turned on and three MYLONDON photographers (Luis Saatchi, Zakia Chowdhury and Patricia Rossi, who are also members of the RPS-run photography mentoring group) went out with a mission to capture the festive lights and other decorations. The cards have proven a huge hit, and we sold 2,500 of the new cards!
As you know we are a very small charity. As such, we rely on calendar and greetings card sales, and donations, to continue our mission, to connect people with experience of homelessness to the wider community though photography and entrepreneurship.
If you can help us with a small one-off donation or a monthly donation we would very much appreciate it. It would directly help us help people in need. Thank you and Happy New Year!
