  1. Volunteer Creative Projects and Exhibition Support Assistant

The purpose of this voluntary role is to support the organisation in delivering community-based photography and exhibition programmes with people experiencing homelessness and social disadvantage.

The role is part of the organisation’s charitable delivery and supports creative participation, exhibitions, and community engagement activities. This is an unpaid voluntary role. No salary, wage, or employment benefits are provided.

This Agreement does not create an employment relationship between the volunteer and the Organisation.

Primary responsibilities

The volunteer will assist with the delivery of creative and exhibition-based charitable activities, including:

  • Supporting participants during photography workshops and creative sessions

  • Assisting individuals experiencing homelessness in taking photographs as part of community arts projects

  • Supporting the preparation, set-up, and delivery of exhibitions including “London Unseen”

  • Providing practical assistance during events, exhibitions, and public engagement activities

  • Supporting participant outreach and engagement to encourage participation in creative programmes

  • Assisting with basic administrative tasks related to exhibitions and creative projects under supervision

  • Supporting the preparation of materials for the MYLONDON calendar project


  1. MYLONDON proof reader

If you possess a keen eye for detail, we would value your assistance in editing and proofreading the annual MYLONDON calendar and cards. You will be required to review the proofs for the upcoming 2027 calendar. This role needs to be filled as soon as possible, before the end of August 2026.


  1. MYLONDON calendar vendor support

Could you assist us in supporting our calendar vendors who sell at markets, train stations, and offices? We plan to sell alongside the participants of the MYLONDON project from early October to mid-December. This role involves assisting the vendors in setting up their tables. We will be selling every day of the week. Assistance is required either on Saturdays or Sundays at Spitalfields Market or on a weekday at office buildings or train stations like Ealing Broadway, Canary Wharf, or Woolwich Station.


Supervision

The volunteers will be directly supervised by:

Paul Ryan – Chief Executive Officer

All activities will be carried out under supervision and instruction. The volunteers will not operate independently or hold responsibility for organisational decision-making.

Hours

Up to 25 hours per week, depending on programme delivery and event scheduling.

Salary / Payment

These positions are unpaid volunteer roles.

Volunteers do not receive a salary. They may only be reimbursed for reasonable expenses in accordance with the organization's policy.

Compliance Statement

These positions are genuinely volunteer roles for a registered charity and do not replace a salaried job within the organisation.

These temporary positions directly support the achievement of charitable goals aimed at engaging people experiencing homelessness in community arts.

MYWORLD confirms that these role meets the requirements of the Charity Worker visa route.
